The third act of Marcysia and Peter’s story took us to a space where words acquire power and gestures acquire meanings – to the Witkacy Theater in Zakopane. It was here, on the boards where Marcysia performs every day, that we were able to create the final chapter of the photographic story of her love story with Peter. Courtesy of the theater’s management, we had a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in its magical world.

The stage, usually bustling with actors and lit by the glare of spotlights, now became our set. Its majestic space, steeped in the history of countless performances, exuded an aura of mystery and artistic energy. Marcysia and Peter, moved by the magic of the place, looked like characters in a play, ready to play their parts.

We wandered around the auditorium, which usually seats crowds of spectators, but now there was silence and stillness. We peeked backstage, discovering theatrical nooks and crannies where costumes and props wait to go on stage. The foyer with painting exhibitions the space in front of the theater with murals and sculptures, and even the mysterious corridors, carrying the echo of voices and footsteps – all this created a unique atmosphere for our session.
