Wedding reports are best done where you know the people and their way of being well. In the case of Ania and Andrew, this was felt from the very beginning. I knew their family beforehand, this was not the first highland wedding I had photographed there, and I knew that this would be a day where the photographer’s job was to carefully observe and react to what was happening naturally. <\/p><\/div>\n\n

A Highland wedding has a definite, proven pattern<\/strong>. It has room for preparations, blessings, rides, live music, intense dancing and moments of tranquility. This rhythm gives a sense of order, but at the same time leaves a huge space for spontaneous situations that create the real atmosphere of the whole day. <\/p>\n\n

What I appreciate most about highland weddings<\/strong> is their energy and authenticity. There is a lot going on, the pace can be fast, the emotions are clear and sincere. These are not stylized scenes for photographs, but a living tradition that people really experience. As a result, the photographs have a naturalness to them that cannot be planned or acted out. <\/p>\n\n

Highland Wedding<\/h3>\n\n

A characteristic moment during a highland wedding is a short trip to a photo shoot with the bridesmaids<\/strong>. It usually leads to a scenic spot, where dynamic, joyful frames are created in a relaxed atmosphere. This was also the case this time – several minutes out of the room, a lot of laughter and complete freedom, which shows very well in the photos. <\/p>\n\n

Throughout the day, I worked in a typical reportage style of wedding photography<\/strong>. Without interfering with the course of events, without setting or interrupting moments. I wanted the photos to capture the real relationships between people, the emotions and the character of the wedding. <\/p>\n\n

We realized the wedding plein air on another day in Rusinowa Glade<\/strong>. This is the place where highland costumes look most natural – surrounded by mountains, space and light. It’s hard to find a better backdrop for such a story. The combination of regional costumes with the landscape of the Tatra Mountains always creates a unique effect and perfectly closes the whole reportage. <\/p>\n\n

This material is a record of the real day, without pretense and without over-interpretation. If you are interested in wedding reportage in the mountains<\/strong>, based on emotions, relationships and authentic tradition, this is exactly the style I work in. <\/p>\n
